FAQs

What is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring sugar in the body that helps facilitate the skin’s ability to stay hydrated. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid made by the body lessens, which affects the volume and appearance of your skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are body-safe clear gels that, when injected beneath the skin, can help to fill in facial wrinkles, restore volume loss, and refine your facial features.

What is Revanesse®?

Revanesse® is a line of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers made with state-of-the-art production methods, optimal ingredients, and rigorous quality testing to provide remarkable results. Revanesse® fillers add volume for a smoother, more youthful appearance while helping to shape and sculpt your features to your ideal of beauty. Revanesse® is manufactured in Richmond Hill, Ontario, by Prollenium Medical Technologies Inc., a Canadian company that has been developing cutting-edge products in the medical devices industry, with a focus on aesthetics, since 2002. Prollenium is the only manufacturer of dermal fillers in North America.

Over 300 patients of multiple skin types were treated with Revanesse® Ultra™+ in three clinical trials, with no serious adverse events reported. In one of our clinical trials, 50% more patients treated with a comparable product experienced swelling than patients who were treated with Revanesse® Ultra™+. How long until I see results, and how long will they last?

You will see results instantly. Once injected, the Revanesse® line of fillers provides immediate volume; optimal results are typically seen 2 weeks after treatment. Longevity can depend on the area treated, the type of filler, and some personal characteristics, including your metabolism and activity level. The Revanesse® line of dermal fillers is optimized for durability, lasting on average between 6-12 months.
